History
In early 2003 the founders of MAYA Projects moved to Iraq to establish TIGRIS Enterprises, specialising in contracting, procurement and catering. During the first three years the company turned over USD 20 million dollars in business and has operated fairly successfully in Iraq despite the difficult circumstances. As the business grew and the opportunities increased, a certain degree of specialisation became necessary, and so a new and independent entity was created to focus on procurement services, business development, project work, and the oil and gas industry. MAYA Projects was founded and is managed by two of the professional Iraqis that helped establish TIGRIS Enterprises.
